This is a beautiful soup for the start of the colder season here in the Northeast. You begin by creating a paste out of your aromatics to gently cook down before adding your broth. The paste is a lovely, different way to make a soup and creates a burst of flavor. The ginger, turmeric, garlic, and shallots are also an elixir of nutrition and immune-fighting benefits. I added farro because of it's nutritional profile but you could also add noodles or barley if you'd like. Finished with cilantro, microgreens, cilantro, and a bit of greek yogurt, this is delightful and very easy. Perfect for cold season.
